PLASTICS POLLUTION CAN NEVER END IN A SINGLE DAY!

28/07/2023, early in morning 09:00am youths and citizens from BUSANZA-KANOMBE SECTOR in KIGALI CITY -RWANDA,



A Non-government RWANDA ENVIRONMENTAL JOURNALIST in partnership with Evelyn Daniela, GLOBAL YOUTH BIODIVERSTY  NETWORK, WE4CLIMATE, GreenClub, GGGI, , WE4CLIMATE,friends and KANOMBE Sector authorities with their citizens attended A plastic Free General Cleaning that held down a day before Rwandan Culture of  General Cleaning as of to day 29/07/2023.



At around Gashyushya Mini Market, they were picking up plastics around and then held a time to talk to public and Citizens from Busanza in a way of creating awareness about Environment protection through trying to stop Plastic Pollution.

Evelyn said "We can not finish this plastics at once but constantly , every day, every time at every where at our homes can do something, slowly slowly we can make it. As an example my self , i have to make artistically things from Plastics. so one used plastics are not really good as we can make more to be used instead"

Creating awareness only needs to do what ever and where ever, Speak to RUBANGURA the From Rwanda Environment Journalist,

"Taking action is a thing to consider essentially for Environment protection and when we are with youth doing these works, we hope the future of contributors in environmental protection will be Guaranteed, we should always teach young ones so they can do better in coming days"  

UWASE Claudine from GreenClub told us about how she be feeling when in this Umuganda action

She said, "when we are doing this actions for protecting environment, for us its a kind of a show, we enjoy it so makes it easy for us to perform as you have seen. and we, as women, we understand impacts of environmental degradation, as when it comes in hardships, women are at risk."


IMANISHIMWE Samuel the Operation Officer And Secretary General of GreenClub, " We love what we do, as youth volunteers, being at frontline is our must. and for environment , we do this as a Hobe not as seeing it as money making as by now we spend much to make it goes as Good as Possible 

29/07/2023 was a General Cleaning day which comes every Last week of the month in RWANDA, Umuganda named, usually taken as a time to interact with neighbors and government authorities give out messages to public a s rare gathered and contributes to Reconciliation and Unit,

From Umuganda, Responses and different Problems are solved and helping each other to get what can help them in villages like Road creations.

Teaching and being with youth in both Umuganda and Environmental General Cleaning plastic Pollution free, will bring a long term result to environment protection.



Rwanda Environment Journalist NGO is playing that great role of bringing ,different people in one space for the same reason and action to climate change. 

executive secretary of KANOMBE Sector congratulates Partnership of REJ (Rwanda Environment Journalist) and other partners who comes to help wakening up people from their sector and hoping to continue in that way, Reminded citizens there, that Environment is a source of Life, like food we eat, Fresh air we breathe and much more.
